You wrote: My boyfriend died aged 29; will he wait for me in heaven and can we continue our relationship?
Thanks so much for writing your note to us here at TruthBook.
I want to tell you how sorry I am to know that you lost your boyfriend – and at such a young age. My sympathies…I pray that you are managing life without him.
You don’t mention whether you are a reader of The Urantia Book, but I hope you are. This website is dedicated to the teachings of this marvelous book of modern revelation to mankind, and especially to the life and teachings of Jesus. Part IV of the book is a complete retelling of Jesus’ life, with all the missing pieces filled in.
One of the things that Jesus told us about the afterlife is that there are “many mansions” in the life after death, “worlds of light where the Father of spirit souls has provided many delightful stopping-places for those who are Paradise-bound.”
Jesus also said: “Life in the Father’s eternal creation is not an endless rest of idleness and selfish ease but rather a ceaseless progression in grace, truth, and glory. Each of the many, many stations in my Father’s house is a stopping place, a life designed to prepare you for the next one ahead. And so will the children of light go on from glory to glory until they attain the divine estate wherein they are spiritually perfected even as the Father is perfect in all things.”
The Urantia Book teaches us that relationship with others is the most important thing we do here on earth; our relationships are so important that they have “survival value”; in other words, they survive our earthly life, and we continue them in heaven:
112:5.22 “Personality and the relationships between personalities are never scaffolding; mortal memory of personality relationships has cosmic value and will persist. On the mansion worlds you will know and be known, and more, you will remember, and be remembered by, your onetime associates in the short but intriguing life on Urantia.”
So you can rest assured that you and your boyfriend will meet again in the worlds beyond. He’ll know you and you’ll know him; your relationship will continue.

Again, I want to tell you how sorry I am that you’ve lost your friend … but I hope that you can be cheered, knowing that he likely IS waiting for you there, and that you’ll be able to take up your relationship from where it was interrupted by his untimely passing.
Thanks again for writing, and I hope that you’ll write back again if you have other questions of a spiritual nature. I hope that this reply has been helpful…I will hold you in prayer this day, asking God to bring you peace and comfort.
