Thanks so much for your interesting question to us here at TruthBook. It’s fun to think about travelling to other planets, but I don’t think any evolutionary beings like us get to do that until they are ascended mortals; at the time of our death, our personality and our soul travel to the Mansion Worlds, and after that we do travel from sphere to sphere in our ascent to Paradise as morontia or spirit belings. But as far as I know, The Urantia Book does not teach us that mortals of any worlds travel through space to other planets during the life in the flesh. Only spirit beings are able to traverse space efficiently and safely. We do get visitors here from other worlds, but they travel by aid of the Transporters

In this section, Mortals of Time and Space, the types of mortals are discussed, and there is no mention of space travel, except as ascending beings. It does say this, though:

These narratives cannot possibly embrace all of the fascinating variations in the evolutionary worlds. You know that every tenth world is a decimal or experimental planet, but you know nothing of the other variables that punctuate the processional of the evolutionary spheres. There are differences too numerous to narrate even between the revealed orders of living creatures as between planets of the same group, but this presentation makes clear the essential differences in relation to the ascension career. And the ascension career is the most important factor in any consideration of the mortals of time and space.

So, who knows if rocketry and space ships and interpnanetary travel may be a part of one of these evolutionary worlds? I am reminded of our quest for space exploration here on Urantia; it won’t be too much longer before humans WILL be traveling through space to other planets in our solar system, and maybe in the distant future, we will even go beyond our solar system to other worlds, too. But that’s a long way off for us … whether other civilizations have developed to that point, The Urantia Book does not tell us. In the end, “the ascension career is the most important factor in any consideration of the mortals of time and space.”

It never hurts to imagine what could be…it’s so good that we have an epochal revelation to inform us about the universe, and to inspire us to think about big ideas like interplanetray travel! But for now, I think that speculation is all we can do. But it’s also good to know that there will come a day for all of us when we WILL travel through space as ascendent beings on the Paradise adventure!
