Q: The Urantia Book speaks on race inferiority and this bothers me. I have been made to feel inferior most of my life and have olive skin.

A:  I am sorry to hear that you have these feelings of inferiority owing to your skin color. This kind of bigotry is so very unfortunate, and so very unnecessary. I think it speaks far more about those who discriminate by color than it does of you, and you need not keep these feelings of inferiority, for your skin color has nothing whatsoever to do with your worth as a beloved child of God.

When you say that ” The Urantia Book speaks on race inferiorety and this bothers me…,” I am not quite sure what you mean.

The Urantia Book‘s teachings about race are not to be taken as an indictment against any current racial differences. The appearance of the races in our evolutionary history is simply a fact. The outworking of those racial differences—in skin color and abilities, for example—refer to the pure lines of those races. There are no remnants of those pure races left on earth. Over the thousands and thousands of years since their appearance, all have been amalgamated, one with the other, so that ALL of the modern races of mankind are intermixed to a great degree—from the darkest-skinned to the lightest-skinned. The colors and the abilities of all races have contributed—and will continue to contribute—to the overall health of the whole human race.

I might suggest that you read Paper 52 “Planetary Mortal Epochs.” In it, we find this interesting passage:

(52:3.7) By the end of the Adamic dispensation on a normal planet the races are practically blended, so that it can be truly proclaimed that “God has made of one blood all the nations,” and that his Son “has made of one color all peoples.” The color of such an amalgamated race is somewhat of an olive shade of the violet hue, the racial “white” of the spheres.

It may be of some comfort to you to know that your olive skin color is closer than most to the color that all peoples will be one day…then, even the skin of “white” people will be olive-hued, just like you. this day is far into the future, but its arrival is inevitable, nonetheless.

Thanks again for this question to us today. I hope that my reply has been of some help to you. Please feel free to write back anytime!”
