Hello,
I've been reading Urantia issues for two years (2017).
I ask myself the question of the divine laws to exercise during our terrestrial career waiting for the resurrection.
Before knowing the revelation of the LU, I studied the Bible and based myself on the Ten Commandments dictated by Moses to the Hebrew people on Mount Sinai to - 1470 CE.
You certainly know them and I will not list them.
In the booklet 66, we can read that Han promulgated seven commandments to observe :
"66.0) 66:7.8 Hap presented the early races with a moral law. This code was known as “The Father’s Way” and consisted of the following seven commands: (66.0) 66:7.9 1. You shall not fear nor serve any God but the Father of all. (66.0) 66:7.10 2. You shall not disobey the Father’s Son, the world’s ruler, nor show disrespect to his superhuman associates. (66.0) 66:7.11 3. You shall not speak a lie when called before the judges of the people. (66.0) 66:7.12 4. You shall not kill men, women, or children. (66.0) 66:7.13 5. You shall not steal your neighbor’s goods or cattle. (66.0) 66:7.14 6. You shall not touch your friend’s wife. (66.0) 66:7.15 7. You shall not show disrespect to your parents or to the elders of the tribe.
As you can see; they differ slightly from the laws issued by Moses.
What do you think are the laws of the universe to be observed in order to reach the first world of the morontia houses at resurrection?
The ten commandements or others ?
And second question, what are the behaviors that hinder our spiritual progression in our body of flesh ?
The apostle Paul quotes the following in Galatians 5 :
"19, Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24, And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. "
A specific mention for fornication :
watching pornographic videos is considered fornication ?
Is one harmed oneself by regading this type of videos ?
I admit that I sometimes tend to look at this type of content and I am not proud of it. Will I be criticized on the day of the judgments ?
Thank you for your indulgent answers on this subject.
May the glory and power of our Lord Jesus Christ allow us to overcome the temptations of the flesh and progress to greater wisdom and perfection.
