Interesting article about baffled astronomers. Is it a planet? Is it a sun? Or could it be Jerusem?

http://dailycaller.com/2017/03/13/astronomers-investigating-mysterious-object-in-deep-space/

Metallic, not hot, smaller than a regular star, larger than a usual sized planet.

it's luminous/gaseous like something between jupiter and an "unlit" star...the architectural worlds are lit from the surface but the light is reflected back and doesn't escape the atmosphere and wouldn't appear luminous in space.

Quote:
46:1.4 (519.5) The lighting system of Jerusem should not be so difficult for you to comprehend. There are no days and nights, no seasons of heat and cold. The power transformers maintain one hundred thousand centers from which rarefied energies are projected upward through the planetary atmosphere, undergoing certain changes, until they reach the electric air-ceiling of the sphere; and then these energies are reflected back and down as a gentle, sifting, and even light of about the intensity of Urantia sunlight when the sun is shining overhead at ten o’clock in the morning.

P520:1, 46:1.5 Under such conditions of lighting, the light rays do not seem to come from one place; they just sift out of the sky, emanating equally from all space directions. This light is very similar to natural sunlight except that it contains very much less heat. Thus it will be recognized that such headquarters worlds are not luminous in space; if Jerusem were very near Urantia, it would not be visible.

i should clarify that this object was detected with a near-infrared scope, not visible light, but would shine dimly deep-red in the visible spectrum if seen close up.

I guess it depends on what the authors meant by "very near" and what the author of the article means by "close-up."

well yeah they're relative terms and could be taken to extremes...but it's infrared signature is too hot for an architectural sphere too...about 400c (750f). and they're saying it has a mass at least 1000 times earth whereas jerusem has a "size" 100 times earth...and jerusem has seven large moons 1/10th it's size that would be occulting in transit. and i think its in the wrong direction in space too...its in the constellation dorado quite far off the central plane of the milky way.

Your analysis makes sense to me.
