Greetings Riktare,
In response to this:

Most or all of their energy is directed into an enormous ego element. It seems clear that they are really desperately trying to please themselves. They do not heed the Spirit of Truth which admonishes us all to minimize and control our tendencies toward self-assertion. Neither do they listen to the voice of the Adjuster.
But here's the dirty little secret about that. All evolutionary religions are sentimental, emotional reactions to the unknown. Not a single evolutionary religion on this planet can escape that problem. Only revelation can elevate a religion. The unfortunate thing is that Islam claims it is the
final revelation of God to mankind. I think this is at the heart of the problem.
Evolutionary religion is sentimental, not logical. It is man’s reaction to belief in a hypothetical ghost-spirit world — the human belief-reflex, excited by the realization and fear of the unknown. 92:4:3The next quote explains that all evolutionary religion is exactly what you say, a reaction of the adjutant level of mind. It's actually a good thing, but when it is stalled out and unable to progress, it becomes evil and deadly. A strange system of ethics and duty drive Islam today but it has not progressed to the spiritual level because it closes the door to revelation (being the final revelation from the final prophet). Personal revelation (by Adjuster) may find a way to liberate these people, but not if persistently obstructed and impeded at the level of mere conscience. It might have to wait until the next life, unfortunately.
Evolutionary religion is the outworking of the endowment of the local universe mind adjutant charged with the creation and fostering of the worship trait in evolving man. Such primitive religions are directly concerned with ethics and morals, the sense of human duty. Such religions are predicated on the assurance of conscience and result in the stabilization of relatively ethical civilizations.101:5:7
Evolutionary religion drives home to the individual the idea of personal duty; revealed religion lays increasing emphasis on loving, the golden rule. 101:5:8In regards to the golden rule, sharia law functions at the lowest levels revealed by Jesus in Paper 147. It is a retaliatory rule of law not unlike the Code of Hammurabi, "an eye for an eye", which was abhorred by Jesus. Although some say that Islam is a tolerant religion, I can't agree. The Qu'ran allows the punishment of apostasy with death, which is about as intolerant as you can get.
But there must be wiggle room in there somewhere. The Law of Moses allows for "an eye for an eye" and you don't see very many youtube videos of Jews going on tirades chopping off people's heads to please their god. They've evolved, so there has to be hope. It must be remembered that Islam was designed to be a religion for irreverent pillaging and marauding desert tribes. It worked wonderfully 1500 years ago, but has not progressed much. If only they would accept the idea that vengeance is God's, perhaps the fury of revenge for assumed wrongs against him will abate. We can only hope.
Society early adopted the paying-back attitude of retaliation: an eye for an eye, a life for a life. The evolving tribes all recognized this right of blood vengeance. Vengeance became the aim of primitive life, but religion has since greatly modified these early tribal practices. The teachers of revealed religion have always proclaimed," 'Vengeance is mine,' says the Lord." Vengeance killing in early times was not altogether unlike present-day murders under the pretense of the unwritten law. 70:10:9Lots to Ponder,
