Quality of thinking, the goal of human existence?

Tue Aug 11, 2015 7:07 am +0000

I'm taking the following from Edril's "Proof of God" thread and creating its own. I think it warrants it.

Free will - It's limited in our actions but not in our thoughts. We can think whatever we want. I wonder what the significance is, that the nomenclature the revelators use to identify God's indwelling, is as a Thought Adjuster.

101:1.3 (1104.6) The divine spirit makes contact with mortal man, not by feelings or emotions, but in the realm of the highest and most spiritualized thinking. It is your thoughts, not your feelings, that lead you Godward.

81:6.28 (910.1) At first life was a struggle for existence; now, for a standard of living; next it will be for quality of thinking, the coming earthly goal of human existence.

Is this the answer? Is this how we'll achieve Light and Life? Through the quality of thinking?

Yes, in fact I think true worship is having all our thoughts aligned toward the reality of God. The more our mind reaches into the spiritual realm, the more capable we are of worship, and thus the more continuous worship is. I cannot recall off the top of my head, but there is a quote in the text that in time, first man finds wisdom, that leads to worship. Then in eternity, worship leads to wisdom.

Quality of Thinking is dependently enhanced by
a) the amount of free time that families spend together
b) the ability to socialise with one's neighbor and share or learn ideas
c) his physiological adaptability to the life sphere and its environmental conditions, his habitat
d) the challenges he faces, whether natural or civilized
e) the mindal factorance of planetary and cosmic circuitry
f) each person's intelligence, or ability to contrive novel solutions
g) the submission or offering of one's work towards the betterment of the universe
h) social factors that include taboos which both inhibit and enforce group habits
i) the certain drives that the ego and other individuals place upon us, God's expectation to attain fusion with the mortal
j) the dependence of discernment and affirmation from other people OR faith
k) established institutions who preserve knowledge and methods

If we were to take issue with these, we may clarify some of them while stating that the goal may be to effectively harmonise these factors according to each family, neighborhood or community. Of course, finding meaningful labour for each person and other activities may be methods employed to ehance the rating of each factor. And if you found that certain activities were high, then they could be considered conducive to quality, quality as to the subject you have described thinking.
