Did Lazarus suffer brain damage? He was dead four days then raised back to mortality. The brain however suffers permanent damage if starved of oxygen for more than ten minutes; four days far exceeds ten minutes! How was the TA able to reinsert itself into Lazarus mind as he should have suffered severe brain damage? Did the unseen celestials regenerate the brain cells? What are you thoughts?

I was reading the narrative on the resurrection of Lazarus and it dawned on me that he should have suffered some serious permanent brain damage being entombed dead for four days. In fact, he should have been a vegetable when brought back to life!

While you think about this event, take into consideration the following revelation:

Quote:
112:3.3 (1230.1) 2. Intellectual (mind) death. When the vital circuits of higher adjutant ministry are disrupted through the aberrations of intellect or because of the partial destruction of the mechanism of the brain, and if these conditions pass a certain critical point of irreparability, the indwelling Adjuster is immediately released to depart for Divinington. On the universe records a mortal personality is considered to have met with death whenever the essential mind circuits of human will-action have been destroyed. And again, this is death, irrespective of the continuing function of the living mechanism of the physical body. The body minus the volitional mind is no longer human, but according to the prior choosing of the human will, the soul of such an individual may survive.

Apparently, when a celestial being commands it, anything is possible.

Quote:
168:2.6 (1846.5) As Lazarus came out of the tomb, the Personalized Adjuster of Jesus, now chief of his kind in this local universe, gave command to the former Adjuster of Lazarus, now in waiting, to resume abode in the mind and soul of the resurrected man.

The UB presents the whole story in Papers 167 and 168. Jesus knew of it prior to or as it happened. I believe the Master may have suspended the material process of decay (?...opinion) and ordered the TA to linger (fact)....15 minutes before Lazarus took his last breath.

We are told Jesus claimed to others that Lazarus did not die and merely slept, but that death did actually occur. Jesus always had reason for all he said and did...but this is not really explained.

It is not hard to believe or understand that those celestial hosts who gathered might fully restore the body, mind, and soul at the order of the Master Son and creator of Nebadon but this act is hailed as his greatest act and miracle in the flesh and a determined attempt to gain the attention and hearts of the Judaic leadership.

Brain damage seems a minor element in this grand miracle compared to the reunification of so many life elements including identity and self and restoration of the material body. We are talking about our own creator and all those who serve him. What can they do?
