should be interesting to see how the paleo scientists take to this new find:

Humans May Have Occupied North America 100,000 Years Earlier Than Thought

the authors know it's a paradigm shift and seem well prepared for a fight!

thought this was interesting not so much because it pushes back any population dating a few thousand years but because it pushes back the use of bows and arrows by native americans about 10,000 years. recall TUB says they invented the bow and arrow before leaving asia.

Gault site research pushes back date of earliest North Americans

Vachula and colleagues identified fecal stanol profiles consistent with the periodic presence of humans in the vicinity of the lake from about 31,000-22,000 years ago. After 18,000 years ago, which happens to coincide with greater archaeological visibility of human occupation throughout Alaska, the biomarkers indicate a consistent presence of humans in the region.

31kya is a big bump back. it's a stretch to consider the brooks range in interior alaska any part of berengia though...they do that because the berengia model still lives in their minds. even though if this really was part of the now submerged land bridge and a berengia standstill did happen the markers would show the amount of human presence the reverse of what the study does. anyway, big bump back from clovis first to 31kya, which is also prior to the last glacial maximum by a lot.

think i posted this somewhere here years ago but maybe not the archived link at that time so here it is again.

WESTERN HEMISPHERE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES PLEISTOCENE DATA BASE

This was a list of pre-clovis sites posted by archeologist paulette steeves before she got famous and busy with work...she had another 400 or so sites that were never added. in here words:
Quote:
...these are sites with impressive archaeological records, including but not limited to: dated stratigraphy, tools, tool assemblages, extinct faunal assemblages, paleobotany, hearths, human remains, and in one case: proteins from ancient human coprolites. The sites I have added range mainly in age from 11,000 to 80,000 years with a few much older

of the 500ish sites only 12 were older than 80kya which is interesting considering that's around the date of entry according to the papers.

So cool. More scientific verification of the UB with another "about to be known facts", now known a century later. Thanks for all the research and updates!

Funny.

But the historical record of Urantia as told in the UB and which conflicts or contradicts the human science of the time but becomes confirmed later by the scientific method IS very important verification of the UB itself. Which is not the same as God at all.

I believe the UB will gain tremendous influence in the coming generations by such scientific discoveries and technology upgrades over time. Most of the UB cannot be be evaluated by science but much of the historical record and genetic/species evolution and geo/astrophysics facts presented can be. So far, there is a growing body of such supportive documentation in multiple areas of research. Fascinating!!

The UB celebrates the scientific method and the value of the scientific contribution to the reality perspective based on fact as well as truth. Science and religion seek the same source and center of reality after all!

196:3.2 (2094.1) There are just three elements in universal reality: fact, idea, and relation. The religious consciousness identifies these realities as science, philosophy, and truth. Philosophy would be inclined to view these activities as reason, wisdom, and faith—physical reality, intellectual reality, and spiritual reality. We are in the habit of designating these realities as thing, meaning, and value.

196:3.3 (2094.2) The progressive comprehension of reality is the equivalent of approaching God. The finding of God, the consciousness of identity with reality, is the equivalent of the experiencing of self-completion—self-entirety, self-totality. The experiencing of total reality is the full realization of God, the finality of the God-knowing experience.

196:3.4 (2094.3) The full summation of human life is the knowledge that man is educated by fact, ennobled by wisdom, and saved—justified—by religious faith.

196:3.5 (2094.4) Physical certainty consists in the logic of science; moral certainty, in the wisdom of philosophy; spiritual certainty, in the truth of genuine religious experience.

196:3.15 (2094.14) Thus it appears that all human progress is effected by a technique of conjoint revelational evolution.

196:3.26 (2096.2) The evolutionary mind is able to discover law, morals, and ethics; but the bestowed spirit, the indwelling Adjuster, reveals to the evolving human mind the lawgiver, the Father-source of all that is true, beautiful, and good; and such an illuminated man has a religion and is spiritually equipped to begin the long and adventurous search for God.

196:3.28 (2096.4) Religion stands above science, art, philosophy, ethics, and morals, but not independent of them. They are all indissolubly interrelated in human experience, personal and social. Religion is man’s supreme experience in the mortal nature, but finite language makes it forever impossible for theology ever adequately to depict real religious experience.

So true. Every day cosmologists and astronomers are making discoveries which shake up the established views of the universe, especially the Big Bang theory. These new findings in the field of paleontology are shaking up the established historical timeline in a very big way and hopefully all these discoveries will eventually confirm the UB's presentation of not only Urantia's history but establish a new reality of morantia truths and the possibility of the eternal career open to all who choose to follow.

We live in a friendly universe and at a very exciting time here on Urantia!
