I like Erickson, I'm not fixed on the stages, but it has been shown that the
Loss of trust early in childhood has long lasting effects.

Children need to know they are loved and understood, which requires patients
and unconditional love that is capable of forgiveness.
All the will we must encourage bounderys so their young minds
Can learn apropriate behavior, communication is a must on their
Level of understanding.

In my experience as a substance abuse counselor I have to Agree that all learning is gained through the scaffolding affect,(like building a house, you must start with a good foundation ).

As for the arena of psychology, so many times they attempt to present a methedology as if it was a one size fits all aproach which symply does not work.

Here is a quote about how Health affects us from a religous standpoint.

Quote:
1095.1) 100:1.6 Religious experience is markedly influenced by physical health, inherited temperament, and social environment. But these temporal conditions do not inhibit inner spiritual progress by a soul dedicated to the doing of the will of the Father in heaven. There are present in all normal mortals certain innate drives toward growth and self-realization which function if they are not specifically inhibited. The certain technique of fostering this constitutive endowment of the potential of spiritual growth is to maintain an attitude of wholehearted devotion to supreme values.

I like this quote about how the Adjuster's care about our welfare, and health.

1204.1) 110:1.3 Although the divine indwellers are chiefly concerned with your spiritual preparation for the next stage of the never-ending existence, they are also deeply interested in your temporal welfare and in your real achievements on earth. They are delighted to contribute to your health, happiness, and true prosperity. They are not indifferent to your success in all matters of planetary advancement which are not inimical to your future life of eternal progress.

nice, Boom

yes, i think there are other quotes in the book which refere or can be make to piont to the roll a Dissaplined life has for one to grow and become more.

In America it seem so difficult to become Disaplined to higher callings, I admire those places where meditation and physical practise are common place....Ti-Chi and some form of Martial-Art are of great benifit.
