My pleasure, Agon! By the way, as I was writing the OP yesterday, I was reminded of the alien creature from Carl Sagan's novel 'The Contact' and their quotes about love and loneliness: “For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love.” “You're an interesting species...

192:2.1 (2047.5) When they had finished breakfast, and while the others sat by the fire, Jesus beckoned to Peter and to John that they should come with him for a stroll on the beach. As they walked along, Jesus said to John, “John, do you love me?” And when John answered, “Yes, Master, with all my ...

Bradley has said that my words are the "antithesis" of the teachings of the Urantia Book. At least, then, I must be someone who is capable of discernment according to Reason. Man is by nature reasonable, but this is not all man is. Reason is useful for a vast array of things, for many up ...

I have actually thought of something similar: a kind of performance where this cosmic weaver, performed either by a dancer or an actor, is actually portrayed weaving the threads of universe destiny with the help of suitable lighting. I think it would make for an interesting and evocative performance...

Oh dear... I believe that when all is said and done, some things are best felt (experienced) rather than thought upon over and over and over again. I think that the point is being missed here and arguing for the sake of arguing is fruitless... It kind of reminds me of a musical analysis course where...

Will any gatherings be taking place in Europe too? Whenever I read about such events, it is mostly in America.

I think I understand your inner turmoil, Stephen. One moment you are secure and full of hope and the next, the primitive tendencies of the animal nature take over, filling you with doubt, anxiety, fear and feelings of isolation. This is something all of us experience at some point or another and at ...

And an antipodal contemporary example should also be mentioned:

The black on the canvas is slowly, but surely being brightened up.

"Refreshingly simple" carries a lot of meaning/resonance, doesn't it?! Calls up a deep, innate longing for that inevitable realization of a world of stunning beauty, less fraught with unnecessary, burdensome complexity. We'll get there, eventually. Urantians always do the right thing... l...

Sadly, we do not live in an era where art, beauty and aesthetics are much appreciated and sought after, except of course in a superficial and materialistic way, which I believe corresponds to our natural urges which still govern much of what we do, think and feel. Having said that, I am pleased to s...

I was just watching an interview on Youtube and the topic that is discussed on the segment that begins around the 43:30 mark is the reason I decided to become an active participant here. This soft-spoken lady comprehends the burden and sometimes the necessity of isolation and I am touched by her emp...

Okay, but I would be remiss if I did not state that I have tried always in this forum to use the right and simplest nomenclature, that I have chosen the simplest form of logic to frame my thoughts. Much of what I read is not simple and very often the logic in them eludes me. And as Bradly repeatedl...

I like the parallelisms, daniel1! Tumbleweeds that little by little grow and become larger - like we do through experience traversing the cosmic circuits! :) Komposer, that image you posted is simply gorgeous...it just is a thrill to my spirit. Thanks so much... It's by Thomas Moran. I just love the...

I am so beyond confused. :? This excessive and disorderly overanalyzation is harmful for the well-being of the mind, Stephen! Pause for a moment and read the following: 155:6.12 (1732.5) You must cease to seek for the word of God only on the pages of the olden records of theologic authority. Those w...
