Unbelief is on the uptick. People who check "None" for their religious affiliation are now nearly one in five Americans (19%), the highest ever documented, according to the Pew Center for the People and the Press. The rapid rise of Nones — including atheists, agnostics and those who say they believe "nothing in particular" — defies the usually glacial rate of change in spiritual identity. See "Link to External Source Article" below to read further. ----------------------------------- The Urantia Book teachings are very clear about the drawbacks of institutionalized religions, which have become less a matter of personal experience, and more an matter of societal lynchpins - organic parts of present-day politics and mores. It is no surprise to readers of the revelation that people - especially the young - are leaving these religions in droves.
