"Fewer Britons people believe in God than they do in life after death, with three quarters saying they never or rarely attend religious services.
The survey, by the Institute of Education's Centre for Longitudinal Studies, found that 49 per cent of people think there is 'definitely' or 'probably' an afterlife, while 31 per cent said they believe in God."

It is so interesting to me that people who profess no belief in God can still hope for an afterlife. It's interesting, but not all that surprising, I guess.
Right now in our world, there is a backlash against religion in general, and when people dismiss God, they throw the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak. Nevertheless, there is that higher part of themselves that hopes, and even has faith in, the concept of eternal life.
And these souls will not be disappointed. In The Urantia Book, Jesus teaches:
155:6.17 Now, mistake not, my Father will ever respond to the faintest flicker of faith. He takes note of the physical and superstitious emotions of the primitive man. And with those honest but fearful souls whose faith is so weak that it amounts to little more than an intellectual conformity to a passive attitude of assent to religions of authority, the Father is ever alert to honor and foster even all such feeble attempts to reach out for him.
And if you still wonder what the eternal life may hold in store for you, please see our short flash movie called "After You Die."
