NAZARETH, AD 19 Jesus ben Joseph no longer enjoys the support of all the citizens of his home city of Nazareth. Some agree with Kareth, a Zealot patriot who said recently: “Jesus is a friend to the children who play by his carpentry shop, but he has turned his back on his responsibility to his people.” Kareth claims that Jesus is too passive, and that the former “child of promise” will never be the political leader many hoped he would be. Jesus reportedly enjoys telling stories to the children, who know him as “Uncle Joshua.” Jesus would not comment on his future plans, saying only: “My hour has not yet come.” (Extract from Chronicle of the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.
