I would stop worrying about the church and would not confuse it with Jesus or his kingdom. I would realize that following Jesus is a personal matter and it is my responsibility to live in his ways as I go about my regular daily life. Community is important, but how I follow Jesus is up to me.
I wouldn’t be afraid to “speak truth to power,” whether the “power” is the church the government, the corporate world, or politically correct ideologies. I, also, wouldn’t be surprised if it makes some people really mad.
I would make it a point to seek out those who need a little help, a little love, and be their friend. It would be an intentional daily focus, as I become more aware of the people that I meet in the normal course of life.

I only had to read these three paragraphs to know that this is a kindred spirit. I hope you'll agree that this short post is well-worth your time. Check out the link below...
The Urantia Book teaches us:
196:1.3 To “follow Jesus” means to personally share his religious faith and to enter into the spirit of the Master’s life of unselfish service for man. One of the most important things in human living is to find out what Jesus believed, to discover his ideals, and to strive for the achievement of his exalted life purpose. Of all human knowledge, that which is of greatest value is to know the religious life of Jesus and how he lived it.
This blogger may not have read The Urantia Book (or, maybe he has!), but it appears that he has gleaned enough of the Master's teachings to mark him as one who has truly risen above the religions of authority into that wonderful place of spiritual freedom wherein one can enjoy close communion with God in a wonderfully creative, original, and personal way. He recogizes the value of spiritual community, but understands that the relationship of the individual with Jesus is a purely personal matter. And he has taken very seriously the Master's call to "Follow me."
