IRON, AD 28
News of the healing of a leper by Jesus today ended speculation that he was no longer able to perform healing miracles. The unidentified man declared that he had managed to encounter Jesus in the streets and pleaded with him to perform a cure. The man stated that he knew he could never be accepted into the kingdom because of his affliction, and he told this to Jesus. “He touched me, and I was clean once more!” the man asserted.
Reportedly, Jesus had requested the afflicted man be silent about the cure. Some believers in Jesus have expressed the opinion that although no physical affliction could ever keep a person out of the kingdom, the leper sincerely believed his ailment could do so. For this reason, they express the opinion that Jesus took pity on the leper and healed him.
Jesus has been ministering here in the mines, teaching and preaching. The fame of Jesus as a healer has spread to this remote village, and many sick and afflicted are seeking help at his hands. Many have been greatly benefited by his healing ministry.
